Classical Concerts in West Michigan

Beyond GVPCS:

The more, the merrier! Here is a list of CLASSICAL MUSIC concert presenters/venues in West Michigan.

Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids Symphony - No introduction is necessary! Rush tickets are available for students and teachers. 

Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center at St. Cecilia - There are only three concerts per season! Student tickets are available. 

Palestrina500.org - Through December 2025 only! A rare opportunity to hear Palestrina’s masses. FREE

Mayflower Church - Monday evening concerts in October as well as select times of the year. FREE

Central Reformed Church - There usually are a couple of community concerts every year. FREE

Park Church - “Music at Midday” by mostly local musicians. FREE

Sunday Strings at Meijer Gardens - 5 Sundays in July/August. Free with Meijer Gardens admission. 

 

Allendale

Grand Valley State University - music - Concerts by faculty, guests artists, and students. Most of them are FREE. (If you’d like to be on the mailing list for piano-area events, email Dr. Cho at choso@gvsu.edu.) 

 

Holland

Holland Symphony Orchestra - No introduction is needed! Student tickets are available. 

Hope College - music - Concerts by faculty, guest artists, and students 

Free@3 - Long-standing community concert series. FREE

 

Zeeland

Second Reformed Church - Relatively new community concert series. FREE 

 

Muskegon

West Michigan Symphony and The Block - Orchestra concerts and solo/chamber recitals. Student tickets are available. 

 

Saugatuck 

Chamber Music Festival of Saugatuck - Long-standing chamber music series.
